Пишет *Анри*:Леди и Найджел. Второй завтрак.
Однажды зимним утром...
Утро. Английский кекс. Огуречные сэндвичи. Чай. Александра. Найджел. Второй завтрак.
Alexandra: Well, here they are, your cucumber sandwiches, while I still can't understand, what do you find in them.
Nigel: They're simple, my Lady. And they are always the same.
Аlexandra: They don't seem to be interesting companions.
Nigel: (a smile) That's why I have you for company. It's sunny today, my Lady.
Alexandra: (smile) How nice of you to prefer me instead of cucumber sandwiches. Would you like to go for a walk? Say, after lunch.
Nigel: Maybe, my Lady. Let us see. You like the winters here, huh?
Alexandra: Yes. I like it, when there is snow everywhere. And you always... Well, I mean, you don't like it that much, do you?
Nigel: No, it's fine. (pause) My Lady, may I ask you a question, my Lady?
Alexandra: 'course, nestling.
Nigel: You wanted to talk to me about something... There's... I don't know. Something in the air. Like a presence of a... a talk.
Alexandra: (pause) A talk? No, not at all. It's just...
Alexandra: ...just you remind me of something. It's hard to explain.
Nigel: Remind you of what, my Lady?
Alexandra: Well. Let us say, I... had seen you in my dream. Long before we've met.
Nigel: In your dream. What was it about?
Alexandra: A dream isn't always a story, you know.
Nigel: (a nod) I know, my Lady. Was it a bad dream?
Alexandra: No... No. It was... (quietly) a really nice dream. May be one of the best I've ever had.
Nigel: We should open a window. You like snow. Just for a while, OK?
Alexandra: You'll get cold and catch a flu.
Nigel: No, I won't. I'll breath through my nose.
Alexandra: (a smile) I should have known, you will say something like this. OK, Let's do it.
Nigel: You know what, my Lady?
Alexandra: Probably I don't. What, dear?
Nigel: It's nice, having you here. Like that. Away from everything that happened.
Alexandra: Away. Like... Look, how small does everyone look from here. Like from the castle tower.
Nigel: Yeah. A tower. You'll be the princess, I'll be the dragon, OK?
Alexandra: A dragon? Why not the prince, then?
Nigel: I don't like the Prince Charming. He's not as sharp, he's always into his sward, and he's usually blond.
Alexandra: Besides, a dragon is much closer to a pirate, right?
Nigel: I wanted to be a pirate, when I was little. I'm cured now.
Alexandra: Cured! And whom would you like to be now?
Nigel: I'd settle for a lord Nigel Herburt.
Alexandra: (laugh) OK, lord dragon Nigel Herburt. Nose-breathing session is over.
Nigel: OK, my Lady.
Alexandra: That's better. Come here, we shall try to get you back warm.
Nigel: Yeah. I love you.
Alexandra: (breath) I love you too, nestling.
